Guided Fishing Trips That are all about having fun!

Only an hour and a half from the Seattle.  We Guide on the Yakima River,  Washington States only Blue Ribbon trout Stream.   Basing out of Cle Elum WA.

If your looking for a pretentious guide, than you've come to the wrong place.   We are here to have a good time out on the water.  We are pacient, kind, and deeply appreciate every day we get to be out on the river with our guests.

First timer?  No worries!  We've helped hundreds of people get started enjoying a day with a fly rod in hand.  It is incredibly rewarding to inspire people to appreciate the craft as much as we do.

Lifelong addict? Well, it takes one to know one!  we may not take ourselves very seriously, but we are fishing guides because we were going broke trying to fit a real job into our fishing schedules!  We love it all.  Trout, bass,  steelhead, carp, bonefish, snook, tarpon, single handed, 2 handed, euro nymphing,  double hauls, reach casts, double speys, snap T's, snake rolls,  scandi, skagit, 10 wts to 2 wts,  giants to dinkers.  Were happy to deep dive down any rabbit hole.  Please forgive us if we show up just as stoked as you are to get out on the water!

Fall Is in the Air!

September and october are my favorite months to fish the Yakima.  We have a prolific crane fly hatch thats is just getting started, and will rock for the rest of september.  These "giant mosquitos"  will be bouncing all over the surface of the river laying eggs durring the mid day hours.  We imitate them by skating and skittering our flies across the surface.  The trout chase them down and crush them in broad day light!

As the fall progresses, October caddis will fill in the evening hours  into true dark.  October caddis are our largest caddis on the yakima.  their nocternal hatch instigates agressive feeding on the surface right before dark.  Daytime stratigies focus on the pupa stage, as the caddis transition from the safety of there casing to becoming a flying adult.

Customize Your Trip

Everyone is a little different, and we want to focus on you.  We provide a basic canvas, but you are the painter.

Every one of our trips is a custom experience.  Before your trip, your guide will contact you and get a feel for your expectations, skill level and time availability.  We will work with you to fine tune your experience.

Klickitat River Steelhead

The Klickita river drains the east slope of Mt Adams providing us with some premier fall steelhead fishing.  These powerfull anadromous rainbow trout are fresh from the ocean.  With above average returns, we anticipate a great season!   The weather on the klickitat tends to be much dryer than the west side of the state.  this is your last chance for sunshine and jumbo sea run trout before the winter rains settle in.

We are happy to focus on swinging flies with a spey rod,  fly fishing with bobbers (Nymphing), using conventional tackle, or mixing it up.  Were just happy to spend the day with you in this truly beautiful sub arid landscape.
